Jamaica News, St Ann: At least one man is believed to be dead and another admitted to hospital in serious condition, following their involvements in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of St Ann leg of the Edward Seaga Highway, shortly after midday on Sunday.
Reports by the St Ann police are that shortly after 12:00 noon on Sunday, the driver of a silver Honda motor car and a passenger, were travelling along a section of the Edward Seaga Highway in St Ann.
The driver was travelling in wet slippery conditions and upon reaching a section of the Highway, he lost control of the vehicle, which skidded across the roadway and crashed underneath the rear end of a Leland truck.
Both occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital where they were treated.
Unconfirmed reports are that the driver succumbed to his injuries.
Fire Fighters and police personnel were alerted to the scene and upon their arrival, it took them some time to clear that section of the highway.
Also, the crash resulted in a massive traffic pile up and dozens of motorist were delayed on their journey.
