Old Harbor Police Launch Search For Market Shooter

Jamaica News: The Old Harbor Police in St Catherine,  say they are now hot on the trail of a man who is believed to be involved in the shooting death of another man,  and the shooting and wounding of another,  at the Old Harbor market place on Friday,  September 7th.
The police say they are unable to release the name of the suspect at this early time, but the deceased has been identified as Ricardo Shekelford, otherwise called “Ricky”  38 year old, of Oyster Way, New Harbor Village in Old Harbor, St Catherine.
Reports by the police are that about 2:00 pm, Shekelford was at the market place when he was ambushed by a man armed with a handgun.
The gunman opened fire hitting his victim to the rejoins of his face. Another man who was standing in close proximity was also shot during the attack.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, they discovered Shekelford suffering from gunshot wounds to his face, and the other man to his lower body.
Both victims were rushed to a hospital where Shekelford was pronounced dead and the other man admitted.
