The world number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia after dropping the first two sets rallied to a 6-7 (6), 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas on Sunday for his 19th Grand Slam title on Court Phillipe.
It was also the second French Open crown, for the 34-year-old Serb and, he’s now one major championship away from tying the men’s record of 20, which is currently shared by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
Djokovic has won both majors this year after lifting the Australian Open title in February.
He defends his Wimbledon title this month before the Olympics and US Open.
The Serb fought back from two sets down as he outlasted Greek fifth seed Tsitsipas to win at Roland Garros on Sunday.
Djokovic, also champion at Roland Garros in 2016, became the first man to win all four Grand Slams twice since the fully professional Open era began in 1968.
