Norwood – St James High School Student Shot in Hail of Bullets

St. James,  Jamaica (McN) – A 17 year old St James High School Student of a prominent high school in Western Jamaica and hails from Nelly Drive in Hendon, Norwood was admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in critical condition after he was shot by gunmen in the Norwood community on Tuesday night April 11th 2017.

Reports by the Montego Hills police are that about 8:05 pm on Tuesday, the 17-years-old teenage boy was among a group of patrons at a shop located along Nelly Drive when they were ambushed by a group of men armed with high powered weapons.

As the gunmen opened fire on the crowd the patrons ran in separate directions to avoid been shot.

Minutes later the gunmen made their escaped in the area on foot.

Following Police investigation at the scene it was discovered that the student had been shot multiple times to his upper body.

He was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.
