Ninjaman Now In Jail – Hopes To Be Released Today

Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Ninjaman Now In Jail: Dancehall icon and embattled entertainer Desmond “Ninjaman” Ballentine was taken into custody yesterday after his bail was revoked by High Court Judge Justice Martin Gayle who ordered that the murder trial involving the popular entertainer begin immediately.

Attorney-at-law for Ninjaman Valerie Neita Robertson is expressing confidence that her client will be released from jail today.

Mrs Robertson said the trial started, so usually the judge remands the accused in custody.  However, she doesn’t believe the judge is going to prejudice Ninjaman’s position by keeping him in jail.

Ballentine is also charged along with his son, Janeil, and another accused, Dennis Clayton, for the death of Ricardo Johnson in 2009.  The cases were first mentioned in Court the same year, with close to 40 other dates since then.  They were charged with shooting with intent.

Based on reports, a number of witnesses for both the prosecution and defence are unavailable because of disappearance, death or migration.
