Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: A nightclub owner who pleaded guilty when he appeared in the St James parish Court on Wednesday, May 16, was fined $50,000 by the presiding judge.

Calico Morgan, 42-year-old nightclub owner was dragged before the Court on charges of Failing to Close a Club within the specific time.

Reports by the Barnett Street police are that about 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, a team of officers who were acting under the State of Public Emergency responded to a report of loud music being played in the vicinity of the town square in downtown Montego Bay.

The lawmen went to the location and discovered that the music was coming from a club which was being operated by Morgan.

It was then pointed out to him that he had breached the Town and Country Act and he was then arrested and charged.
