Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: The Spaulding police have confirmed that criminal charges have now been laid against a man who reportedly chopped his aunt to death on Thursday, August 9.
The dead woman has been identified as, 49-year-old Doreen William – Francis, a farmer of Piece River in Clarendon.
The accused Nephew was arrested by the police shortly after the chopping incident occurred.
Reports by the Spaulding police are that about 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, Francis was at her home in Piece River when an argument developed between her and the accused.
During the altercation, the nephew armed himself with a machete which he used to inflict multiple chop wounds to his aunt’s body.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded woman was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
An investigation was carried out, which led to the nephew being taken into custody.
