Mystery Surrounding Death of Chinese Businessman in Spanish Town

Jamaica Crime, St Catherine: The police in Spanish Town, St Catherine say they have still not managed to acquire any form of leads surrounding the circumstances behind the death of a popular Chinese businessman, who was discovered murdered at his business place in Spanish Town on Sunday morning.

Investigators say the death of Xiang Qui, 29-year-old Chinese national who operated the DL Wholesale and Meats at 71 Featherbed Lane still remains a mystery.

Reports by the Spanish Town police are that about 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, a customer went to the establishment and stumbled upon the body of the Chinese National.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Qui’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood at his Wholesale,  with a section of his head bashed in.

The investigators also pointed out that so far, no signs of forced entry have been detected at the establishment and that still remains a mystery.
