The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Richard Brown, otherwise called “Richie” laborer of Molynes Road address.
The names of the three other injured victims are being withheld.
Reports by the Constant Spring police are that about 12:20 a.m., on Sunday, Brown and the other three victims were walking along a section of Molynes Road, when a motor car with several men travelling on board drove up to them.
The vehicle came to a stop and two men armed with handguns jumped out and opened fire on the crowd. All four victims received gunshot wounds and the men sped off in the waiting motor car.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Brown and the other victims were rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other three victims were admitted in serious but stable condition.
