The Kingston police have commenced an investigation into the shooting death of a murder accused, who was gunned down by a group of armed men inside a wholesale, where he had gone to do some shopping in downtown Kingston, on Monday, March 22.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Omar Clarke, a higgler of Bull Bay and Stony Hill addresses, in St Andrew.
Clarke is said to have been reporting to the police on Condition of Bail, in relation to a murder incident.
Reports are that Clarke was standing inside the wholesale about 9:30 am, when his cellphone rang, and he went to the door of the establishment and answered his phone.
Minutes later, a motor vehicle pulled up outside the wholesale and the occupants alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Clarke multiple times.
The gunmen escaped in the waiting motor car, while residents summoned the police, and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
