Murder-Suicide in Spring Mount, St James

A domestic dispute between a St James businessman and his common-law wife turned sour on Friday afternoon, February 15, when the deranged businessman shot the female to death with his licensed firearm, and then turned the weapon on himself taking his own life.

The deceased woman has been identified as Wendy Scarlett, while the businessman name has been given as Junior Wint.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 3:30 p.m., on Friday, Wint and Scarlett who resided at Flamstead Gardens, in Spring Mount got involved in a heated argument.

During the confrontation, Wint reportedly chased Scarlett to a section of the Flamstead Gardens main road, and after catching up with her he pulled his licensed firearm and shot her to the head.

Upon seeing the female collapsing on the roadway in a pool of blood, Wint then turn the weapon on himself and took his own life.
