Man Facing Court for Murder of Ex-Police Officer Remanded into Custody

Jamaica News, April 19, 2018 – Murder of Ex-Police Officer

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – A man who was recently charged with the murder of an ex-police in the parish on Friday morning, April 6, was remanded into custody when he appeared in Court recently.

The accused man Ajardo Lawrence, otherwise called “Cutty or Gaza”  of Spring Park Road, is facing the Court for the murder of 60-year-old Homer Davis,  otherwise called “Silver Fox”  retired Corporal of Passley Gardens also in Portland.

Lawrence who had no legal representation was ordered to return to court on Friday, April 24.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 12:10 a.m. on the day of the incident, Davis was reportedly sitting in his motorcar outside a bar along Farm Road while having a conversation with a female friend.

Lawrence who is the ex-boyfriend to the female reportedly came to the area and told her that he wanted to speak to her.

She then got out of the vehicle and walked back inside the bar and an argument developed between the accused and her. The ex-policeman went inside the bar and intervened in a bid to quell the dispute.

Lawrence reportedly brandished a knife which he used to stab Davis several times to his upper body. He then fled the scene but was later held and charged.
