Murder, Double Shooting and Fatal Shooting in Kingston

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: An unidentified man who reportedly shot one man to death, and shot and injured two others in Kingston 11 on Thursday, October 18, was fatally shot by the police.

The deceased has so far been identified as Glenton Lewis,  otherwise called “Frogman” 45-year-old laborer of St Paul’s Lane, Kingston 11.

The police say they are unable to release the names of the two wounded victims, at this time, also , the dead shooter has still not yet been identified.

Reports by the police are that about 12:00 a.m. on Thursday,  Lewis and the two other victims were among other patrons attending an event being held in the community.

Minutes later, the lone man walked up to them, brandished a handgun and opened fire hitting all three persons.

While in the process of escaping, the gunman was confronted by an off-duty police officer who was in the area.

The gunmen fired at the he police  who returned the fire and during the exchange, the gunman was shot and killed.

One firearm was recovered at the scene, while Lewis along with the gunman,  and the two other victims were transported to hospital, where Lewis and the unidentified gunman were pronounced dead.The two other victims were treated and admitted.
