St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Murder at Dovecott Funeral: A St James man was shot and killed by one of two gunmen while attending a funeral service at the Dovecott Cemetery in St James, on Thursday April 20th.
The name of the victim has not yet been released by the police.
Reports are that shortly after 12:00 pm on Thursday the victim was among a group of persons at a funeral proceeding been held at the St. James Dovecott Memorial Park Cemetery in Orange District when he was approached by two men.
It is further reported that one of the men brandished a handgun and fired several shots hitting the victim to his
upper body.
The gunmen made their escape in a waiting motor car while the police were alerted and the wounded man rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
