The Westmoreland police have confirmed that multiple criminal charges have been laid against 40-year-old, Isaiah Perry, the parish’s most wanted man who was apprehended during a joint police/military operation carried out in Kings Valley, Grange Hill, Westmoreland last Tuesday, morning.
Perry who has been on the run, and has managed to elude the police for over six years, was held in the company of a female, at a house in the community.
One police source confirmed that arrangements are now being made to have Perry place before the court after he was charged with multiple crimes, which involves murder, shootings, and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Reports by the police are that, an intelligence-driven operation was carried out in the Kings Valley community last Tuesday, between the hours of 3:00 am, and 5:00 am.
The operation led the team to a house in Kings Valley, where the lawmen managed to apprehended Perry while he and the female were still in bed.
Perry is among four wanted men from Western Jamaica to have been brought to justice over the past month, one of whom was fatally shot during a shoot-out with the security forces.
Just days ago, two of St James’ most wanted men, Christopher ‘Plank’ Boyd, and Lennox ‘Rus Eye’ McLeod, both of Flankers in St James, were held during a series of operations carried out in St Andrew.
Boyd who hails from Red Dirt in Flankers as being on the parish’s wanted list since 2016, was being sought in connection with the double murders of David Anglin and Sean Titus, in 2016, and the murder of Desmond Clarke in 2018.
McLeod was being sought for wounding with Intent, among other criminal offenses. Seven other men who are all said to be linked to the much-feared Sparta gang which operates out of Flankers community, were also taken into custody.
Prior to their arrest, Delano ‘ Preckeh Boy’ Wilmott, who was at the top of St James wanted list, and was also dubbed Jamaica most wanted fugitive was fatally shot in St James.
‘Preckeh Boy, as he is fondly known was said to be the leader of the Retrieve gang, was shot and killed during a confrontation with members of the security forces in bushes, at Amity district, and was being sought for at least 14 separate murders, across the parish.
