Latest Jamaica News, Montego Bay (McKoy’s News): Multi-Million Dollar Robbery The St James Police have launched a manhunt for robbers who broke into a business establishment along St James Street in Montego Bay, between Saturday night into Monday morning, December 2, and robbed over $3.7 million dollars in cash.

Reports by the police are that between 9:30 p.m., on Saturday, November 30 and 4:30 a.m. on Monday December 2, the robbers broke into GP Wholesale located along 45 St James Street in downtown Montego Bay,  and stole over $3.7 million in cash, several cartons of cigarettes, and a large quantity of phone cards.

About 5:00 a.m. on Monday, the Chinese national who operates the wholesale was alerted by a security team, who informed him that the alarm at the wholesale went off, so they went to investigate.

Upon arriving at the business place, they discovered that the thieves gained entry to the building by cutting a large hole in the roof, and made off with over $3.7 million in cash, phonecards and cartons of cigarettes.
