Jamaica Crime News, St James: The Mount Salem Police say they have now launched an investigation into the shooting death of a teenage boy, in Farm Heights community, on Friday morning, March 22.
The dead teen has been identified as Merrick Shaw, also of Farm Heights.
Reports by the police are that about 8:15 a.m., Shaw was standing along a section of the roadway in his community when he was attacked by two armed men.
The men opened fire hitting the teenager multiple times to his upper body, before making their escape on foot in the area.
The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the wounded teen was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
