Jamaica News: There’s a frightening revelation from the Ministry of Transport in relation to some motorcars on Jamaican roads.
Director of the Road Safety Unit at the Ministry, Canute Hare said select models of Toyota and Honda have faulty hairbags.
He said persons driving these units are at an increased risk of injury in the event of collisions and urged persons to get these motorcars checked out immediately.
“Airbag inflators made by Takata are dangerous. So if they notice Honda and Toyota are recalling air bag inflators. So all who drive a Honda and Toyota must go to the dealer and get the airbag inflators replaced, because there are persons who when their vehicles end up in collisions the metal from the airbag inflators are injuring their skulls, blinding people and mashing up people face” said Hare.
