Trelawny Jamaica (Mckoys News) – Motorist Perish in Burning Car: A businessman who is alleged to be from the parish of Trelawny died on Wednesday (September 27, 2017) morning after his vehicle collided into another vehicle along the Salt Marsh main road in the parish and caught fire.
The police reported that the victim has been identified as Carvel McDonald, businessman of the said parish. Another man who was driving the other vehicle in which McDonald collided, sustained injuries and has since been admitted to the Falmouth Hospital in serious condition.
Reports are that shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, McDonald was driving his Toyota Alex motor car from the direction of Montego Bay towards Falmouth. On reaching a section of the Salt Marsh main road, he failed to keep to his left and collided into a Toyota Corolla motor car which was traveling in the opposite direction. McDonald vehicle flipped and immediately burst into flames. He was trapped inside and burnt to death. The Falmouth police were summoned to the scene and on arrival, the driver of the other vehicle was transported to hospital where he was admitted.
The Trelawny Fire Department was also contacted and on arrival, they managed to put out the blaze and the charred remains of the ill-fated driver were later removed.
