Motorist Dies after Crashing into Business Place in Spanish Town


Latest Jamaica News, St Catherine (McKoy’s News): One man died from injuries he sustained after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a business establishment along Whynter’s main road, Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Friday, November 8.

The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Tyrone Riley, a labourer of Windsor Road, also in Spanish Town.

Reports by the police are that about 3:15 a.m., residents living in the vicinity were awakened from their sleep by a loud crash, and they went to investigate.

They saw a Nissan Tida motor car crashed through the walls of a business establishment, and summoned the police.

Upon the arrival of the lawmen, Riley was seen slumped around the steering wheel. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
