Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The May Pen Police say they are presently carrying out an investigation, surrounding the death of a motorcyclist, who was shot and killed by gunmen along a section of Terrier Avenue in Denbigh, May Pen, Clarendon on Friday afternoon, October 5.

The deceased has been identified as Shawayne Benjamin, otherwise called  “Yellow” 20-year-old of Tank District, also in Denbigh, Clarendon.

Reports by the May Pen police are that about 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Benjamin was riding a motorcycle along a section of Terrier Avenue with a female pillion.

On reaching a section of the roadway,  a motor car drove up to them and the driver came to a stop.

Another man who was traveling as a passenger in the vehicle stepped out and opened fire hitting Benjamin multiple times, to his upper body. The vehicle then sped away.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded motorcyclist was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  The female escaped with minor injuries.
