Motorcyclist Perishes in Westmoreland Crash

Latest Jamaica News, Westmoreland (McKoy’s News): A motorcyclist lost his life in a motor vehicle accident which occurred along a section of the Red Ground main road, in Negril Westmoreland, on Wednesday, September 3.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Akeem Stewart, of Whitehall District in Negril.

Reports by the police are that about 5:00 p.m., Stewart was riding his motorcycle along a section of the Red Ground main road in the vicinity of the Negril United Church, when he failed to keep to his left and crashed into a Nissan AD Wagon, which was being driven by 27-year-old Havando Buchanan of Hopewell, in Hanover.

The impact of the crash sent Stewart crashing into the church wall, and he sustained head injuries and died on the spot.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Stewart was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
