Jamaica News, March 19, 2018 – Motorcycle Taxi operator Murdered
Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Grange Hill police in Westmoreland have said they are now asking members of the public for their assistance in getting the identities of the persons behind the shooting death of an unidentified man in the parish last Thursday night, March 15, 2018.
The victim so far is only known by his alias ‘Slippers’ who is a motorcycle taxi operator from Geneva District.
Reports by the Grange Hill police are that shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, the man known as ‘Slippers’ was among a group of men at a drink-out event which was being held at a section of the Geneva community.
The men were ambushed by gunmen who opened fire hitting ‘Slippers’ all over his upper body. The police were summoned and on arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Savanna-la-mar hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police say they are now asking any member of the public with information to contact the nearest police station, 119 or the Westmoreland police.
