Motorcycle Pillion Dies in St Ann Crash

Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: A motorcycle pillion is now dead, and the rider of the motorcycle admitted to hospital in critical condition, following their involvements in a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Ocho Rios Bypass, in St Ann, on Wednesday, June 12.

The dead man has been identified as 24-year-old Hartley Antonio, laborer of Shaw Park Heights, also in St Ann.

Reports by the Ocho Rios police are that about 1:20 p.m., Antonio was traveling as a pillion on a motorcycle along the Ocho Rios Bypass.

On reaching a section of the mentioned roadway, the rider lost control of the motorcycle, which crashed into a motor truck, which was traveling in the opposite directions.

Following the arrival of the police who were summoned to the scene, both victims were rushed to hospital, where Antonio was pronounced dead and the rider admitted in critical condition.
