Victims in Critical Condition Following Motorcycle Accident in Anchovy

St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Motorcycle Accident in Anchovy: A bloody traffic accident involving a motor vehicle and a motor cycle along the Anchovy main road on Thursday morning September 7, 2017, has left two men nursing serious wounds and in critical condition at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

Personnel from the St James Traffic Police told our news team that investigations have not yet allowed them to identify the injured victims, but they are both from the Mount Carey community.

Reports are that about 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, the rider and his pillion were traveling on a motorcycle from Long Hill to Mount Carey. On reaching a section of the Anchovy main road, the rider of the motorcycle allegedly swerved to his right and collided with a motor car which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Both the rider and his pillion was thrown several feet into the air and landed on the pavement. They both sustained head and body injuries and were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were admitted in critical condition. It is also reported that two persons traveling in the motor car including the driver were also transported to the hospital where they were treated.
