Jamaica News, March 2, 2018 – Motor Vehicle Examiner Murdered                                                             

St Andrew, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The St Andrew police have now launched an investigation into the shooting death of a motor vehicle examiner in the parish on Thursday night,  March 1, 2018.

The deceased has been identified as Lorenzo Esco who was assigned to the Spanish Town motor vehicle Examination Depot.

Reports are that shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Thursday,  Esco drove his Toyota Wish motor vehicle to visit a friend at a premises along Lydia Drive in Havendale, St Andrew.

Minutes later,  three men armed with handguns drove up beside him in a Toyota ProBox motor car and opened fire on him killing him on the spot. The men then escaped in the said motor car.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are now saying they believed that Esco was targeted for his licensed firearm which is still missing.
