More Violence in Denham Town Despite A Curfew in Effect

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Despite a curfew being imposed in Denham Town, West Kingston and heavy joint military patrols dispatched throughout the community, the area still continues to be affected by violence, following the shooting and wounding of a male resident on Wednesday morning, April 24.

Investigator say they are unable to release the name of the wounded man, who they say is presently at hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the police are that on Wednesday morning, gunshots were heard coming from a section of the community and a police party rushed to the location.

Upon their arrival, they stumbled upon a man, who was seen lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

He was immediately rushed to hospital, where he was treated and admitted. Over the past week, five persons have been shot in Denham Town, two of whom were fatal.
