St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Montpelier Couple Murdered: The police in Anchovy St James are now carrying out investigations into the shooting death of a common-law couple in Montpelier, St James on Friday (November 24, 2017) morning.

Dead is 52-yr-old Leroy Salmon, cook shop operator otherwise called “Second” and his common-law wife Ella Daley otherwise called Kim, a vendor who sells along Barnett Street in Montego Bay.

Reports are that shortly after 5:00 a.m. this morning, the common law couple were travelling in a white Noah minibus from their home in Blue Hole towards Montego Bay. On reaching a section of the Blue Hole main road a group of armed men jumped from bushes and opened fire hitting Salmon. He lost control of the bus which crashed into an embankment. The gunmen then opened the passenger’s door and shot Daley several times to her upper body. The men then made their escape on foot allegedly after robbing the couple of an undetermined sum of cash.

The Anchovy police were summoned and on arrival, both victims were seen slumped at the front of the vehicle. The scene was processed and they were both transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
