Montego Bay: Rose Heights Man Killed along Merriam Way

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Rose Heights Man Killed: One man was shot and killed and another shot and injured in Montego Bay, St James on Sunday morning.

Dead is 44-yr-old Raymond Dias, unemployed of Rose Heights while another 38-yr-old man who was also shot during the incident still remains at hospital in stable condition.

It is reported that shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017, Dias and the other victim were standing in the vicinity of a Tyre Shop along Merriam Way in Montego Bay. Minutes later a black AUDI SUV with three men on board drove up. Two of the men jumped from the vehicle and opened fire on Dias and the other man.

Dias fell to the ground while the other man who was also shot manage to run and escaped from the gunmen. One of the gunmen walked back over to Dias who was still on the ground and proceeded to shoot him several more times. The men then escaped in the AUDI SUV vehicle while residents in the area alerted the police.

On arrival, both victims were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Dias was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.
