Catherine Hall Nail Shop Murders, Two women dead, man injured

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Catherine Hall Nail Shop Murders: The Freeport police are now carrying out investigations regarding a double murder, where two women were shot and killed and a man shot and injured by a lone gunman, in the community of Catherine Hall in Montego Bay, St James on Monday evening.

Dead are Cleopatra Fletcher, a popular 41-year-old nail Technician of Lot 546 Catherine Hall, and Dawnette Shettleworth, 52-year-old Airport Employee of Lot 122 Westgreen. A 43-year-old JUTA Tour bus operator of Retirement, who was also shot and injured during the incident is at present still in hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the Freeport police are  that at  about 5:30 pm on Monday, November 13,  both Shettleworth and the tour bus operator were at a nail technician’s  shop,  operated by Fletcher at Lot 546 in Catherine Hall.

A man wearing a hoody walked up to the shop and brandished a handgun. He fired several shots, hitting all three occupants. He then escaped on foot in the area.

Residents summoned the police and upon their arrival, all three victims were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Fletcher and Shettlesworth were pronounced dead and the male victim admitted in serious condition.
