Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Montego Bay Mechanic Murdered: The Police in Montego Bay are now carrying out investigations into the shooting death of a mechanic in the second city on Thursday afternoon, July 6.
The dead man has been identified as Kemar Samuels, 25-year-old Auto Mechanic of a Rose Heights address.
Reports are that about 4:30 pm on Thursday, Samuels was at the garage where he works along McCarthy Street in Montego Bay when a man walked in and asked where he could get a battery terminal to purchase.
The man was told he could get it at a neighboring Auto Parts outlet, however, instead of leaving he walked over to Samuels who was repairing a music box with his back turned.
The man pulled a firearm from his waistband, pointed it at the back of Samuel’s head and fired one single shot. He then ran from the garage and made his escape in the direction of Cottage Road.
The Police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
