Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Area One Police Seek Armed Robbers: The area one police in western Jamaica have now launched a manhunt to apprehend two armed men who they said are behind a series of armed motor vehicle robberies across sections of western parishes over the past two months.

The police reported that the most recent acts carried out by the armed robbers were on Tuesday (December 12, 2017) night when they kidnapped a 21-yr-old mechanic from the parish of Trelawny and took him to St James where his vehicle was stolen.

It is reported that about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the victim was sitting in his white 2000 Toyota Corolla station wagon along the Daniel Town main road in Trelawny when he was ambushed and held at gunpoint by the two men. The victim was then abducted in his own car and taken to St James. On reaching the vicinity of Long Hill he engaged the robbers in a struggle and managed to jump from the car. He then ran and hid in a yard and the police were later alerted.

Investigators have indicated that they now have some leads on the two robbers who are believed to be from St James and they are expecting to apprehend them very soon.
