Jamaica News, Kingston: Agriculture Minister Audley Shaw has promised small-scale farmers they will not get left out of earnings from a ganja driven industry once he’s minister.

His assurance came following complaints from small farmers that the country’s foray into medicinal marijuana will only benefit big businessmen.

Mr. Shaw, who was addressing a group of farmers in Clarendon recently, urged the farmers to welcome the interest of established businessmen in the plant.

According to the minister, big businessmen have the money, technology and connections to help drive the industry and will help everyone make money.
