Montego Bay, St James (Mckoy’s News) -Bus Driver Crashed in Montego Bay: A mini bus driver from the parish of St James was admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in critical condition following his involvements in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday night, May 13.
The accident resulted in a massive pile up along Howard Cooke Boulevard and took the Freeport police and Freeport Fire Fighters some time to clear the scene and cut away the victim.from the mangled wreckage.
Reports are that shortly after 11.30 pm on Saturday the victim was driving his white Toyota Hiace mini bus from the directions of downtown Montego Bay towards Bogue Village, also in Montego Bay.
On reaching a section of the Howard Cooke Boulevard, in the vicinity of the National Water Commission Compound he lost control of the vehicle which ran off the roadway and crashed head on between two large trees into a fence.
The impact of the crash resulted in the driver been trapped in the vehicle for over an hour and it took the expertise of the fire fighters to cut him free.
A massive crowd of curious onlookers gathered on the scene.
