MERLENE OTTEY HIGH STUDENT STABBED TO DEATH BY RUSEAS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

Hanover, Jamaican (McN) – A 16 years old female student of the Merlene Ottey High School in Hanover is now dead. This following an incident where she was stabbed by another 16-year-old student, who attends the Ruseas High School also in Hanover.

The incident which reportedly occurred on Sunday in the Lucea, has left Shaneikey Brown otherwise called “Ribbon” of a New Hill address in Lucea dead.

Two other persons,  an 18 years old female, who is also a student of the Merlene Ottey High School, and who is said to be the sister of the victim; along with a 21 years old man, who is the alleged boyfriend of the victim were also stabbed and are now nursing stab wounds at the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea.

Reports are that about 10:30 pm on Sunday, both teenage girls were at a party being held in Jew Hill, Hanover on Sunday night for the 21 years old male host.

It is further reported that the victim, who was the present girlfriend of the host and, the accused who is his past girlfriend had an altercation;  during what time the accused left the party and went home for a knife.

After returning to the venue, the ex-girlfriend sacked the Merlene Ottey high student and proceeded to stabbed her.

The sister of the victim and, the alleged boyfriend intervened in the incident; and they  too were stabbed by the accused.

All three wounded victims were rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital.

Brown was pronounced dead and the other two admitted in serious condition.

The accused was later taken into custody by the Lucea police.
