Men Plead Guilty to Beheading Woman and Her Daughter in Circuit Court

Latest Jamaica News, St Catherine (McKoy’s News): Men Plead Guilty to Beheading Woman and Her Daughter – Three of five men charged with the 2011 murder and beheading of a woman and her teenage daughter in St Catherine, pleaded guilty when they appeared before the Home Circuit Court, today November 6.

The three accused Adrian Campbell, Rashane Goldson and Fabian Smith, pleaded guilty to the murder of 40-year-old Charmaine Rottray, and her 19-year-old, daughter Joeith Lynch.

Reports are that on the night of July 20, 2011, the three accused and five other men armed themselves with knives, guns and machetes, then went to the home of the now deceased and her daughter, and attacked them.

The men reportedly stabbed, shot and chopped both victims to death, before cutting off their heads.

Upon their appearance in court, the three men pleaded guilty to avoid getting the death penalty.
