Two men were shot and killed during a drive-by shooting incident that occurred at the Palm Grove Housing Scheme, in St Andrew, on Tuesday, March 16.
Those killed have been identified as 28-year-old Jerome Robinson, otherwise called ‘Romie’, a welder, and Richard Evans, otherwise called ‘Big Eye’, a plumber believed to also be in his twenties, and both of Palm Grove.
Reports by the St Andrew South police are that about 6:30 pm, both men were standing in a field at Palm Grove Housing Scheme, when a motor vehicle with three men traveling on board, drove to the community.
The occupants of the vehicle opened fire hitting both men, before they drove away from the location.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, Evans and Robinson, who were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds, were rushed to hospital, where they were pronounced dead upon arrival.
