Men Arrested for Illegal Possession of Firearm in Clarendon

Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: The May Pen police in Clarendon on Saturday, January 26, arrested two men in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Sandy Bay, Clarendon.

The names of the accused men are being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports by the police are that about 1:20 a.m., a team of police were conducting vehicular spot checks along the Sandy Bay main road,  when they saw both men acting in a suspicious manner.

The men were accosted and when searched, one of them was found in possession of a Luger 9mm pistol, fitted with a magazine containing fifteen live 9mm rounds.
