Jamaica Sports News: Many time senior cup champions, Melbourne Cricket Club, is now the proud owner of a bowling machine. The gift came courtesy of the Ricardo Powell cricket academy, based in the USA.
Powell, a former national and West Indies player and who’s currently the chairman of selectors for cricket in the USA, visited the club’s Courtney Walsh drive location recently, to make the presentation to President Mark Neita.
The machine was designed in the USA and covers most of the variations in bowling.
Melbourne is now the only cricket club in Jamaica to own a bowling machine.
