The rapper, 31, told journalist Roland Martin in a statement Thursday that he was focused on making a positive impact for the incarcerated in his visit there.
‘When I was released from prison, I promised to use my platform to give a voice to the voiceless and I’m humbled to have the chance to do that at the White House,’ he wrote, adding the hashtag, ‘#prisonreform,’ Martin said via Twitter Thursday
It was not immediately clear if Meek Mill was going to speak directly with President Donald Trump.
The Philadelphia native said that ‘this meeting isn’t about supporting individual or political parties.
