Clarendon, Jamaica(McKoy’s News)May Pen Vendor Murdered: The May Pen police are now carrying out investigations, behind the shooting death of a vendor in the Town Square, on Monday morning, June 12.  A taxi operator was also shot and injured during the incident.

The deceased has been identified as, Egbert Williams, 46-year-old Vendor,  of Winsor Avenue.

The  53-year-old taxi operator, who was shot and injured, has since been admitted to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Reports by the police are that, about 1:40 am on Monday, Williams was sitting on his bicycle at a section of the May Pen Township, in the vicinity of the old clock.

The victim was approached by two men, who brandished handguns and shot him several times to death before escaping in the area on foot. The taxi operator who was close by, was hit by a stray bullet.
