Latest Jamaica News: Bus drivers and conductors are revealing that the impacts of the information surfacing that a Clarendon resident was among those tested positive for the Coronavirus, has impacted their business so significantly. It is being dubbed the “slowest season in history.”
A driver who has been in business over for 40 years is describing the impact as the worst in his career: “Not even Sunday or public holiday so bad,” he said.
The drivers are revealing that the amount of people traveling has hit an all-time low. Drivers are saying that if there are no positive changes in the volume in the coming week, they don’t see the sense in working due to the cost-profit ratio.
They are, however, taking the virus seriously and are ensuring they are sanitizing their units for the limitation of virus transfers.
