Jamaican News, February 24, 2018 – Westmoreland Ganja Bust

Westmoreland, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News)– The Narcotics Police Division have arrested 16 women among thirty people in connection with a massive ganja bust in Westmoreland on Friday morning.

According to the Narcotics Police, over 700 lbs of marijuana were seized during a police operating in the parish of Westmoreland.

Reports are that at about 11:30 a.m., on Friday, February 23, a team of police narcotics investigators went to Orange Hill in the parish and successfully carried out an operation bust at three huts in the bushes, where a group of persons were caught operating in ‘factory style,’ preparing the drugs for export.

Police seized the ganja and arrested all 30 persons who were at the hut factories, which included 16 women.
