Masks, Army Fatigues Seized in Grange Hill Westmoreland

Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: Following the recent gun murders of seven persons in the Grange Hill policing area of Westmoreland, the Minister of National Security and the Commissioner of Police toured the community and immediately deployed the joint military forces in the area, in a aim to rid the parish of criminals, illegal firearms and other criminal elements.

On Sunday morning, May 20, the joint military forces carried out an operation at a section of Grange Hill known as Kings Valley where several searches were carried out at a number of premises.

During a search of one premises the security forces seized two masks and army fatigues. This includes, clothing, pads, gloves, water jugs, hats and tams.

Sunday’s find came hours following the seizure of three illegal firearms in the Whithorne and Little London Policing areas.

Four men were arrested and charged in connection with the seizures. Their names are being withheld pending further investigations.

The Westmoreland police say they will not stop on their quest until they rid the parish of all illegal activities and gunmen.
