During the current COVID-19 pandemic, when many music lovers are looking for hopeful messages, dancehall artiste Masicka is spreading positivity with his latest single, “Better Days”.
The song, produced by Sweet Music Production, was released earlier today and has already struck a chord with fans.
One particularly fan commented on Youtube, that the timing of the single could not have been better. “I just got laid off like minutes after they let us out of lockdown via email last night so this is my first day at work, (working at my own store lol) your timing is impeccable mi believe this is the universe speaking to me. Up up way up cause business has been great since the start of the pandemic”, she said.
Another fan said, “What you think is the end is often the beginning we jus ofto hold the faith good song for the struggle we dealing with”, with several others dubbing the deejay as a “motivator” and “inspiration” for his positive message.
The artiste has been scarce on social media recently, but in one of his most recent posts on Instragam, he sent some encouragement to his fans, simply saying “Tough times. Stay strong”.
The deejay may be using the message as his own source of comfort as his career plans for the first half of this year were somewhat derailed by COVID-19. Masicka began the year on his Israel and European Tour. he had planned to announce more tour dates in February and March, before the coronavirus began spreading like wildfire and people were urged to stay home.
Despite not being able to hit the stage, Masicka has kept himself busy with a series of new singles over the last few weeks, including God Damn and Ice-Cream Truck.
