St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Man Caught with Marijuana in Drops and Cigar: A St. James taxi operator who was reportedly found in possession of a quantity of marijuana in coconut drops and cigars will know his fate in September.
Junior Stewart, a 36, pleaded guilty to possession of ganja when he appeared in the St. James Parish Court on Wednesday.
The allegations were not outlined in details but it was revealed in court that the ganja was found inside of a quantity of drops and 18 cigars when the police held on to the accused man.
It was also disclosed in court on Wednesday that the ganja could not be extracted from the coconut drops. The weight of the weed in the cigars was reportedly 0.8 ounces.
The matter was subsequently set for mention on September 1 by presiding judge Sandria Wong-Small when a social enquiry report will determine the type of sentence to be imposed on Stewart. His bail was extended.
