Jamaica News: The Whithorn police in the parish of Westmoreland have now commenced a probe into the death of an unidentified man whose body was fished from a section of the Roaring River in the parish on Saturday morning of July 14th.
Reports by the police are that, shortly after 9:00am on Saturday, residents living in Whithorn raised an alarm after they spotted the body of a partially unidentified male in the Roaring River.
The police were summoned and upon arrival the body of the unidentified male, who was seen floating on his back in the water, was fished from the river. The victim was clad only in a brown striped underpants with the left foot severed from the knee down.
The victim also had what appeared to be multiple bruise marks on his upper body and a section of his head bashed in. The scene was processed and the body transported to the Sav la Mar hospital where the victim was pronounced dead.
