Man who left diabetic woman to die gets seven years in prison

The man who failed to get help for a woman suffering from diabetic shock was sentenced to seven years in prison, court records show.

Yeshua Ramirez, 20, pleaded no contest to attempted murder and culpable negligence in Osceola County Circuit Court, records say.

According to an affidavit, he left 19-year-old Fabiola Coseme-Feliciano alone at his Kissimmee home in February for three or four hours as her condition worsened. When he returned, she was dead, Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies said.

He often left her with no car and she got to a point where she wasn’t able to call for help herself, deputies said.

Her mother, Lilly Feliciano, said no sentence can bring her daughter back.

“We will never see our princess again, and the pain is unbearable. Her life was precious and was not supposed to end like this,” she said. “We have to live with this emptiness and pain without her and nothing will heal our broken hearts.”

Ramirez also committed a drive-by shooting that injured one person, deputies said.

Cosme-Feliciano competed in weightlifting and cheerleading at Poinciana High School before graduating in 2016. She went to Valencia College to study to be a nurse or EMT.
