Man who Killed Two Daughters and Baby-mother to Appear in Green Island Court on Wednesday

Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The Hanover police have reported that, 61-year-old Paul Coote,  the fisherman and car washer of  Cove Road, who reportedly chopped his two children and his pregnant common-law wife to death on Wednesday morning, April 25, will make his first appearance in the Green Island Parish Court on Wednesday, May 9, 2018.

The triple murder accused who was officially charged with murder on Sunday afternoon, April 29, has still not acquired proper representation up to date, and investigators are now saying that this will hamper the case a little.

The investigators further stated that, Coote who is charged with three counts of murder may also have to go through a psychiatric evaluation.

Coote has been charged with the murder of his common-law wife Adanique Cunningham, 38-year-old unemployed of Dixon Wharf and his two children 7-year-old Jayanna Coote and 4-year-old Shanique Coote.

It is reported that, shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the female who was presently living with her mother in the same community, went to the home of her elderly baby-father to get her two daughters ready for school.

It is further reported that, an argument developed between Coote and the woman over her being eight-months pregnant for another man in the community.

Coote who was chopping his yard at the time of the argument, chased his common-law wife and use the machete to chop her severely to death.

He then turned on his own two children who were crying and also chopped them to death.

The 61-year-old man was later cornered by angry residents who discovered what was taking place and later turned him over to the police who were called on the scene.
