Jamaica News, April 6, 2018 – Man Wanted for Murder of Ex-Police Officer Held in Portland
Portland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Portland police have indicated that swift actions by the police have led to the arrest of a man, who they say was being sought in connection with the stabbing death of an ex-police officer in the parish, on Friday morning, April 6th.
The accused man has been identified as Ajardo Lawrence, otherwise called “Cutty or Gaza” of Spring Park Road. He was being sought for the murder of 60-year-old Homer Davis, otherwise called “Silver Fox” retired Corporal of Passley Gardens also in Portland.

Reports by the police are that, shortly after 12:10 a.m. on Friday morning, Davis noticed Lawrence involved in a dispute with a female along the Spring Farm Road. Davis intervened in a bid to quell the dispute, but Lawrence reportedly brandished a knife which he used to stab Davis several times to his upper body.
Lawrence fled the scene, while residents in the area summoned the police.
Upon arrival, Davis was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
